I had the pleasure of guiding these first time fishermen at their first fishing tournament. They won a 2nd 🥈 place “Heavy Trout” and 2nd 🥈 place in the most “Spots Pot” at the 2025 Salty Dog Fishing Tournament!
It didn’t come easy, with a lot boat traffic but I kept seaching until I found the right place with some relaxed fish that were ready to eat. 🎣
My body is absolutely hammered but I love my guides life and it’s worth the blood, slime and grime!🙌🏻 🍻😎

Father and Son Make Memories on the Water – Thanks to the Fat Cat Boatworks Family

Dad and Daughters day turned out to be an exceptional experience. Filled with the anticipation of that magical thump, I watched these girls create lasting memories with Dad. Memories of fishing with my own father came flooding back, reminding me of the good old days. If time could stand still, well, today it did and here's why…James Willmann and I grew up together in Port Mansfield Tx, Jame's dad introduced him and his brother to fishing the same way my Dad did with me. Both of our fathers have passed on, so today was a special journey for both of us. Today we passed along our love for fishing the Laguna Madre with the next generation. The Willmann family gifted me a very special heirloom that was handcrafted by Jame's own Father 20 years ago. There's 18 of these letter openers in existence and each one is in a known place and each of us that has one will someday regift it so the legacy never ends. What a special day indeed 💜 James Willmann
